The Hollywood Reporter and PBS SoCaL have partnered to produce The Hollywood Reporter Roundtables series, which features Hollywood’s leading Academy Award contenders in intimate discussions. Broadcast of the five-part series kicks off Dec. 22 and will continue premiering episodes during the holiday season through Dec. 30 on PBS SoCaL. PBS SoCaL reaches more than 18 million viewers in Southern California on its HD channel (KOCE), including viewers in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.
Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, Emma Thompson, Julia Roberts, Matthew McConaughey, Steve McQueen, Alfonso Cuaron and Forest Whitaker are among the A-list stars slated to appear. The Hollywood Reporter will continue to feature a photographic and print version of the series in its weekly magazine, in its weekly iPad edition at THR.com/ipad and online at THR.com.

Moderated by The Hollywood Reporter features editor Stephen Galloway and executive editor Matthew Belloni, each roundtable will feature six Oscar contenders, representing the top talent and performances of the year in their field. The series will begin with an actors roundtable and will be followed by the directors roundtable, the actresses roundtable, the writers roundtable and the producers roundtable. The open, no-holds-barred discussions will center on participants’ careers, personal challenges and triumphs, industry trends and tales about how they brought their projects to life.
Initiated in 2005, The Hollywood Reporter Roundtables, which also include the annual Emmy Roundtables, have featured the biggest names in entertainment, including Anne Hathaway, Quentin Tarantino, Ang Lee, Clint Eastwood, Peter Jackson, Hugh Jackman, Matt Damon, Naomi Watts, Ben Affleck, Nicole Kidman, Denzel Washington, Jamie Foxx, Judd Apatow, Richard Gere, Alan Arkin, Charlize Theron, John Hawkes, Gus Van Sant, Rachel Weisz, Helen Hunt and Marion Cotillard, among many others.

The Hollywood Reporter Roundtables series also will remain available for viewing on THR.com, the top-viewed entertainment industry website, with 12 million monthly unique visitors (per ComScore).
