Getty ImagesPBS is making this Halloween one to remember.
The network announced Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton (working title) at the Television Critics Association press tour Saturday.
Airing on Oct. 30, the Live From Lincoln Center special will feature Elfman’s iconic scores from Batman, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands and The Nightmare Before Christmas, the last of which features Elfman singing his own songs. The music will be accompanied by film clips as well as original sketches and storyboards created by Burton.
The symphony orchestra will be led by renowned conductor John Mauceri.
Elfman and Mauceri have previously collaborated on this concert in Los Angeles and London the past several years, frequently timed to Halloween. The duo performed a series of concerts at Lincoln Center last month.
The special joins previously announced Lincoln Center programs for Kern & Hammerstein’s Show Boat and Act One.
Danny Elfman’s Music From the Films of Tim Burton will air Oct. 30 at 9 p.m.
