George R.R. Martin isn’t a man to be trifled with, especially if you’re an actor who wants your Game of Thrones character to live through the next season.
But Thrones‘ Peter Dinklage said he once had to admit in front of the author that he didn’t read his books. He told David Letterman the story on Wednesday’s Late Show, saying he was asked during a Q&A also featuring Martin if he’d read the books. How’d that admission of “no” go? “Not well,” said Dinklage.
On The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon got very personal with Bill Cosby, hopping on the comedy legend’s back and forcing him to carry him around as Cosby tried to walk in a straight and carrying a pole. Threatened Cosby: “Don’t make me mad. I’ll bend this pole in half.”
Later on NBC, Seth Meyers welcomed How I Met Your Mother‘s Cristin Milioti to Late Night, where she revealed how her (even bad by middle school standards) outfit on the first day of seventh grade got her tormented at school. “It’s like you went to a store called ‘asking for it,'” Meyers said.

Over on ABC, Jimmy Kimmel welcomed the vice president of the small screen, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, to talk about the upcoming return of the HBO comedy Veep. Never one to worry about her age, the 53-year-old star laughed: “I found my first grey eyebrow hair today, who knew [they existed]?
Later on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Michael Pena joked that in his early days of acting and amassing credits as random gangbangers, he used to call his mom and talk to her about his goal of some day getting promoted to playing an actual gang leader.
