Real Housewives of Miami Season 3 Cast - H 2013
BravoThe Real Housewives of Miami are back — at least most of them.
Season three of the Bravo reality series, which premieres at 9 p.m. Monday, features returning stars Lea Black, Adriana De Moura, Alexia Echevarria, Lisa Hochstein and Joanna Krupa, but Marysol Patton and Ana Quincoces will now appear only as recurring, while Karent Sierra is not returning.

Ahead of the premiere, Krupa talked to The Hollywood Reporter about what viewers can expect this season, gave a preview of the drama ahead and shared some insight into her wedding with longtime boyfriend Romain Zago.
The Hollywood Reporter: What can you tell us about season three?
Joanna Krupa: There is a lot of rivalry among close friends — make-ups and break-ups, a lot of drama, but a lot of changes between friendships. Some people will make up from past situations. The great friendship between Lea and Adriana goes through quite a roller coaster this season, and Lisa and I have our own little issue. People who were close last season have obstacles to overcome this season. It’s definitely a dramatic season.
THR: How do the casting changes shake up the dynamic on the show?
Krupa: I think that was a great idea. There were too many women to begin with. It’s hard for the audience to try to figure out every story line for every wife. There were too many people to fit into a one-hour series. I miss Karent, but she does make some appearances. I just think it was a good thing for the show just because there were too many women, too many things to worry about and too many story lines.
THR: One story line this season will be your wedding.
Krupa: Yes, finally, after six years, I get my fairy-tale wedding! It was definitely worth waiting for. … We had our ups and downs, especially last season, but it proved that our love is strong and we can make it over six-plus years, with so many obstacles. It was the right time.

THR: Adriana also has a wedding this season. [Based on a promo, Adriana becomes upset with Lea for claiming that she and Frederic Marq have actually been married for several years already, leading to their falling-out.]
Krupa: I guess she does decide to renew her vows to Frederic. Whether she does have a marriage license to Frederic from five years ago, everybody gets the wedding they want. They get to renew their vows and she gets the ceremony she never had. Good for her. It’s weird because people keep asking, “Who outdid who? Was your wedding better?” For me, in no shape or form was it a competition because I was busy planning my fairy-tale wedding that I’d wanted my whole life. Who competes with weddings? That was one of the happiest moments of my life; I’m not going to worry about if I outshine anybody else. Everybody has their own taste and budget.
THR: There is a teaser online about an upcoming episode that reveals that while you were planning the wedding, Romain asks you a question that upsets you. Can you talk about that?
Krupa: We were just enjoying the moment at home, having breakfast and a nice conversation in bed, and all of a sudden he brings up the prenup. Hold up a second. After six years? We basically got engaged in the first months of our relationship, and when we got engaged, we always talked about there would be no prenup, this was true love. When I first met him, I was more successful than he was. Now we’re balancing each other out. It was a shocker. “No you did not!” It was a beautiful moment while we were planning our wedding, and I wanted to kill him.
THR: What are some of your other story lines this season?
Krupa: You also see me developing my own swimwear line — you see the process of it in the show — and just planning my wedding. I also had some obstacles with my sister [Marta] during this season as well. She moved out and wasn’t part of my life as much as she had been for the past 28 years.

THR: The Real Housewives franchise is known for its casts typically taking a big trip every season. Do you all go anywhere big this time around?
Krupa: My wedding was in Los Angeles; most of the girls came to my wedding as guests. Everybody was invited, except Marysol and Ana weren’t there. We also went to Las Vegas for my bachelorette party, which was insane. It included literally one of the best moments of my life; I will not say what it is, you have to tune in. My bachelorette party turned out to be Lea’s bachelorette party; I’ll leave it at that. It was the most fun I’ve ever had in my life. Lisa helped organize it with my two really close friends, Tracy and Diana. There were strippers, lollipop dildos, stripper poles. It’s funny, but I will say that Lea made my bachelorette party.
THR: Lea? That seems pretty unexpected.
Krupa: You would think! Exactly.
