Viewers will get their first look at Bravo’s revamped The Real Housewives of Miami when season two premieres Thursday night.
Gone are original castmembers Larsa Pippen and Christy Rice, replaced by four newcomers: socialite Lisa Hochstein, model and one-time Dancing With the Stars contestant Joanna Krupa, attorney/chef Ana Quincoces and celebrity dentist Karent Sierra. They join returning Housewives Lea Black, Adriana De Moura and Marysol Patton in the show (Alexia Echevarria will have a recurring role to focus on her son’s rehabilitation from a car accident earlier this year), which premieres with a 75-minute episode at 9 p.m. Thursday.

“The new castmembers obviously bring new blood and excitement and interaction, and with that comes a lot more drama than we had on season one,” De Moura tells The Hollywood Reporter of the differences between the two seasons. In addition, “Miami becomes a character this season where the city is really portrayed like it hasn’t been before. You will see a lot of fashion and glamour and the lifestyle of the people that make Miami the scene that it is.”
Hochstein tells THR that this season will feature “a lot more big personalities.”
“I think everyone kind of has their own way of causing drama in one way or another,” she says. “I think all of us are equal opportunists.”
The premiere introduces the four new castmembers, along with some tension: Black and Hochstein — who both have bought homes on the exclusive Star Island, making them essentially neighbors — fail to hit it off at a cocktail party, while Quincoces reveals that Krupa’s fiance, nightclub owner Romain Zago, has been secretly texting her.

Previews for the rest of the season promise more conflict, including a physical altercation between De Moura and Krupa at a fund-raising event thrown by Hochstein.
“When you have booze and lingerie, there’s going to be drama and jealousy and catfights,” Hochstein tells THR. For her part, De Moura will say only that viewers have to “watch and see” what happens but that the slap was “definitely warranted.”
The cast also takes a trip to Bimini Island in the Bahamas.
“We got rained on, and there was more drama because we were inside the house all the time,” De Moura says. “Imagine when all these women with huge egos are confined in a space for several days. It only brings out the worst in everybody.”
Adds Hochstein: “A lot of things were revealed on the Bimini trip.”

Hochstein is married to plastic surgeon Dr. Lenny Hochstein — known as the “Boob God” of Miami — who previously appeared in Miami Slice, Bravo’s 2004 documentary series about plastic surgery. She said they were cast in Housewives after some of their friends — she knew De Moura, Krupa and Black before joining the show — referred the couple to the production company (the show is produced by Purveyors of Pop).
“When an opportunity presents itself like this, I think I’d be kicking myself if I didn’t take it,” she says, adding that the entire experience was “like a roller coaster” of emotions. “When you have that many women together, there’s definitely going to be drama, especially with all of the egos and the personalities. There was never a dull moment.”
