Relativity Media’s Kenneth Lynch was involved in a two-vehicle Woodland Hills car crash on Tuesday afternoon that resulted in a hospitalization for the executive, a source confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.
Lynch, who is the senior financial exec at the studio, is currently in surgery at a local hospital. He sustained a broken leg in the crash.
A green McLaren was torn apart in the crash, which occurred around 4:45 p.m. at the intersection of Califa Street and Platt Avenue, Los Angeles police said.
Two cars, including the McLaren, were involved in the crash, said Brian Humphrey, spokesman for the Los Angeles Fire Department. Two people were transported to the hospital, but the extent of their injuries is unknown, Humphrey added.
Initially, the crash was thought to be a street-racing incident, but police said Wednesday morning that there is no evidence of a race at this time.
Relativity Media declined to comment.
