Rick Springfield guest stars on Drop Dead Diva on Sunday, and The Hollywood Reporter debuts two exclusive clips from the episode.
In the episode, titled “First Date,” the rocker/actor portrays Liam Matthews, a rock star whom Jane (Brooke Elliott) and Belinda (Virginia Williams) represent after his recent irresponsible behavior puts his band’s next big tour at risk.
Elsewhere, Stacy (April Bowlby) helps Jane prepare for her date with Grayson (Jackson Hurst), while Grayson represents a woman being evicted from her longtime low-income housing when her landlord threatens to tear down her building and replace it with upscale condos. The case takes an interesting turn when they discover a famous graffiti artist’s work on the side of the old apartment building.
Jay DeMarcus of country group Rascal Flatts also guest stars in the episode.
Drop Dead Diva, from Sony Pictures TV, airs at 9 p.m. Sundays on Lifetime.
