Just hours before the start of the Golden Globes, host Ricky Gervais dropped the c-word as he shared what was running through his mind in preparation for his hosting gig.
“Better get dressed and offend some humourless cunts I suppose,” tweeted Gervais, captioning what appears to be a selfie of him in bed. The comedian is returning as Golden Globes as host this year, following his run from 2010 to 2012.

The tweet marks the first of what will no doubt be several zingers aimed at the A-list audience of Globes nominees including Cate Blanchett, Will Smith, Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet during the awards show live telecast on Sunday night. Gervais told THR that he plans to stay away from jokes that cause “collateral damage,” but Donald Trump may get a mention.
