Ripper Street returns to U.S. television on BBC America.
Though the second season of the British drama, which stars Matthew Macfadyen, has already aired in the U.K., Ripper Street kicks off its American run this weekend and The Hollywood Reporter has a first look at the premiere.
In the season-two opener, Detective Inspector Reid (Macfadyen) is thrust into dangerous waters when legalized opium is suddenly being converted into heroin with assistance from the ethically questionable Detective Inspector Jedediah Shine (Joseph Mawle).
Will you tune in this weekend?
Ripper Street premieres Feb. 22 at 9 p.m. on BBC America.
