Seth Green is pushing the Delete key.
The Robot Chicken Emmy nominee has joined the cast of Delete, a four-hour miniseries about a disaster in the digital world.
The project, written by Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie (Stargate SG-1), explores what happens when the web becomes dangerously self-aware with one systematic purpose: to destroy mankind. Faced with extinction, there is only one way out, to create a second artificial intelligence that’s equally alive, intelligent and dangerous.
Green will play Lucifer, the head of a secret online community.
“Lucifer is a hacker activist, a cross between Gene Hackman in Enemy of the State and Julian Assange,” Green said. “He’s distrustful of the government and an advocate for humanity who saw the AI coming and tried to stop it early on.”

He joins a cast that includes Keir Gilchrist (United States of Tara), Matt Frewer (Watchmen), Janet Kidder (The Killing), Erin Karpluk (Being Erica), Gil Bellows (Ally McBeal) and Ryan Robbins (Sanctuary). Steve Barron (Merlin) will direct the project, which is being produced by Brightlight Pictures with distribution by Sonar Entertainment. A network is not yet attached.
Green (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Holliston) is repped by Koopman Management, UTA and Sloane Offer.
