‘Royal Pains’: ‘Today’ Host Matt Lauer to Guest Star

Royal Pains has landed Today host Matt Lauer for an upcoming episode of the new season, which begins Wednesday on USA.

Lauer will appear as himself in the episode titled “Ta Da For,” and will be vacationing in the Hamptons — where the hourlong medical drama takes place.

Evan (Paulo Costanzo) schemes to secure a Today Show profile for he and his older brother Hank’s (Mark Feurestein) medical concierge business, HankMed.

Lauer joins previously announced guest stars Kyle Howard, Tony Hale and Campbell Scott in the episode, set to air Aug. 7 at 9 p.m.
