RTL CBS Asia Entertainment HD has added the rights to the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards to its roster of award shows.
The general entertainment channel, a joint venture between Europe’s RTL Group and CBS Studios International established in 2013, has secured exclusive regional pay-TV rights for the SAG awards, which take place on Jan. 26. Financial details weren’t disclosed.
RTL CBS Asia Entertainment will air the actors-only awards live in Asian countries where the channel is available (Singapore, 9:00 a.m.; Jakarta/Bangkok 8:00 a.m.).
The SAG awards join the Globes, the AMAs, Billboard, the Critic’s Choice, People Magazine and the Hollywood Film Awards as part of RTL CBS Asia Entertainment’s roster of award shows. The channel is also home to popular U.S. shows, such as Scorpion, Elementary, House of Cards and The Late Show With David Letterman.
