Ryan Seacrest will remain on E!’s red carpet for at least a few more years.
The long-tenured host has extended his deal to host and executive produce the network’s one-off signature events. His multiyear pact covers the channel’s biggest carpets: the Oscars, the Grammys and the Golden Globes. The news comes 11 years after Seacrest began his tenure on the NBCU-owned cable network. In the decade-plus since, he’s been proved an asset off-camera, too, most notably as an executive producer on the ever-expanding Kardashian franchise via his eponymous Ryan Seacrest Productions.
“Ryan has been a valued partner and a beloved face on Live From the Red Carpet for over a decade and we look forward to continuing our collaboration for the hit franchise,” E! president Adam Stotsky said in a statement Tuesday. “In addition, Ryan has been instrumental as a producing partner in helping to solidify E!’s position as a leader in unscripted programming for millennial women.”
Added Seacrest: “I’m excited to continue my longstanding relationship with E! and the ‘Live from the Red Carpet,’ franchise/NBC Universal — Adam, along with Steve [Burke], Bonnie [Hammer], Frances [Berwick] and too many other executives to name them all — have been very supportive of me and my various creative endeavors this past decade, and I couldn’t be more grateful.”
Those creative endeavors have included other RSP series, which range from Bravo’s Shahs of Sunset to NBC’s Shades of Blue. He has maintained a nationally syndicated and local radio presence as well as an annual gig hosting ABC’s New Year’s Eve telecast. Additionally, Seacrest has a growing retail collection as well as expansive philanthropic and entrepreneurial portfolios.
