“Last night for five blessed hours, Donald J. Trump made America truly great.”
Full Frontal’s Samantha Bee, like many comedians, had a field day with President Trump’s use of “covfefe“ on Wednesday’s episode before moving on to a new segment about Trump, his surrogates and Rep. Greg Gianforte and what she referred to as “Toxic Testosterone.”
She was, of course, referring to the mysterious word the president mistakenly tweeted late Tuesday night, leading the internet to come up with their own definitions, memes and more. “Trump is right. He really does have the best words,” said Bee. “And he spelled it right. V before E except after Z.”
On Trump’s recent trip abroad, Bee compared Trump and his administration to the crew in Mad Max: Fury Road, joking about the president’s media criticisms as he avoided tough questions. “How about answering questions about the jackass driving this administrations proverbial golf cart into the ditch, precocious slumlord and part-time death mask model Jared Kushner?”

“We can’t assume Jared knowingly broke the law — it’s possible that the Russians planted this story to screw with us,” Bee said. “It’s also possible that the person POTUS trusts with negotiating Mideast peace, reforming the criminal justice system, solving the opioid epidemic, advising the commander in chief and reinventing the entire government is just a complete f—ing idiot. How comforting.”
Bee added that Trump has hired lawyers who are “ruining his life,” as they try to monitor his Twitter habits. “Trump without screaming mobs and Twitter bots is like Tinker Bell without clapping. He’ll flutter to the ground and wink out.”
Moving on to “Toxic Testosterone,” she recapped the events surrounding Gianforte, who allegedly body-slammed a reporter when he asked questions about health care. Bee criticized those who said Trump created the violence.
“My point is: We can’t just wait for moral leadership from a guy who thinks shooting people on 5th Avenue is an applause line.”
“We are all Jennifer Lawrence in Winter’s Bone now,” she said. “Unless we want to end up like Jennifer Lawrence in that other movie where everyone kicks the shit out of each other to survive while the nice guy hides in the mud hoping no one sees him.”
“Let’s not let the District 1 assholes always win.”
