The only major animated series contender to submit here (again) instead of in the creative arts competition, Seth MacFarlane's 2009 nominee has the biz abuzz with his provocative academy screeners aimed at "Brentwood Jews." Too far?
Fox has quietly replaced Sunday’s all-new episodes of Family Guy and American Dad with repeats.
A network source indicated that the change was made to avoid airing any potentially sensitive content in light of Friday’s elementary school shooting in Newtown, Conn., which has now reportedly left 28 people dead (including 20 children).
The episodes — Family Guy’s “Jesus, Mary and Joseph!” and American Dad’s “Minstrel Krampus” — will be replaced with, respectively, repeats of “Grumpy Old Man” at 9 p.m. and “Wheels & The Legman and The Case of Grandpa’s Key” at 9:30 p.m.
In addition, the 7 p.m. repeat of The Cleveland Show titled “Die Semi-Hard” has been replaced by “Menace II Secret Society,” another repeat.
New episodes of The Cleveland Show (7:30 p.m.), The Simpsons (8 p.m.) and Bob’s Burgers (8:30 p.m.) will air as scheduled.

The news was first reported by The Futon Critic, which pointed out that Fox previously pulled a hurricane-themed crossover involving Family Guy, American Dad and The Cleveland Show in April 2011 on the heels of tornadoes that ravaged the South earlier that month. Those episodes aired in October 2011.
