The first photo of Girls star Allison Williams as Peter Pan has been revealed.
In the image, released Wednesday morning by NBC and tweeted by its Today morning show (embedded tweet below), Williams sports short hair, a ragged green suit and brown boots, as she’s shown perched on a ship.
Williams will star in NBC’s live musical version of Peter Pan on Dec. 4, the network’s follow-up to last year’s The Sound of Music Live!
Christopher Walken is set to play Captain Hook.
When she was announced as the star at the end of July, Williams said, “I have wanted to play Peter Pan since I was about three years old, so this is a dream come true.”

She later Instagrammed a photo of her as a child, sporting a Peter Pan costume.
Williams also Instagrammed her more recent Pan costume, captioning the photo, “The transformation begins! My first shoot as Pan. Fun fact: I was all ready to cut my hair, then was told by the folks who actually know what they’re doing that a wig works better for everybody. So, December 4th, here we come. #wiglife #peterpanlive #nbc”

The first image of Williams as Peter Pan was revealed as part of Today‘s behind-the-scenes look at the live musical, which consisted of two interviews with Williams on Wednesday’s show while she was elsewhere in Midtown Manhattan for auditions for the supporting roles in the show.
In the second interview, which aired during Today‘s fourth hour, the Girls star was joined by casting director Bernie Telsey, who revealed that they were conducting the final callbacks for the roles of Wendy, Michael and John, adding that they saw almost 100 kids for the roles of Michael and John and are now down to just eight kids.
