HBO Max has filled out the creative team on its Sex and the City follow-up, And Just Like That.
The new 10-episode series starring Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis has enlisted five women to join showrunner Michael Patrick King on the writing staff.
The new series follows Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte as they navigate friendship in their 50s. Production on the series will begin in late spring in New York.
Comedian and best-selling author Samantha Irby (Tuca & Bertie, Work in Progress, Shrill) will serve as a writer and co-producer. Rachna Fruchbom (Parks and Recreation, Fresh Off the Boat) is a writer and co-exec producer. Keli Goff (Reversing Roe, Twenties, Black Lightning, Being Mary Jane) joins as a writer and supervising producer.
Frequent collaborators Julie Rottenberg and Elisa Zuritsky (Odd Mom Out) will serve as writers and exec producers. The duo will reunite with King as well as Parker, Nixon and Davis after earning three Emmys during their original time on Sex and the City. The duo also previously collaborated with Parker on her HBO comedy Divorce.
Irby, Fruchbom, Goff, Rottenberg and Zuritsky join exec producers King, Parker, Davis and Nixon on the series.
