Feature director Shawn Levy is ready to get his family comedy on.
The helmer behind Cheaper by the Dozen, Night at the Museum and Date Night has been tapped to direct ABC’s untitled Adam F. Goldberg/David Guaracio pilot.
The single-camera live-action/CGI comedy centers on a 30-something bachelorette whose life is turned upside down when she finally meets the love of her life — a divorced father with three kids. This triggers even more upheaval when the slightly unhinged imaginary friend she created as an only child suddenly reappears in her life to help her navigate the transition from single girl to a woman ready for a family.

The Goldbergs creator Goldberg and Guaracio will pen the script and executive produce the Sony Pictures Television project alongside Happy Madison’s Doug Robinson and Patrick Osbourne.
The directing gig marks Levy’s latest small-screen outing. He exec produces ABC’s Tim Allen comedy Last Man Standing and is in production on Netflix’s Winona Ryder drama Stranger Things (he’ll also direct multiple episodes of the paranormal thriller).
Levy is repped by WME.
