Shine America has named former BBC Worldwide Productions executive Michael Brooks to senior vp unscripted programming, it was announced Tuesday by Paul Franklin, executive vp unscripted programming.
In his new post, Brooks will manage current production on the company’s unscripted series. He will report to Franklin.
Shine America’s slate includes Fox’s Riot, truTV’s Fake Off, CNBC’s Restaurant Startup, Fox’s MasterChef and MasterChef Junior, Oxygen’s The Face, GSN’s Minute to Win It and NBC’s The Biggest Loser.
Brooks — also a co-executive producer on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here — was most recently senior vp entertainment programming and development at BBC Worldwide Productions, developing and producing titles such as Top Gear, Breaking Pointe, Ladies of London, Mud, Sweat and Gears and Lives on Fire. Prior to joining BBC, he produced five seasons of Dancing With the Stars and helped launch the show in the U.S.
