Showtime’s Sunday night block of new drama, Homeland, and returning thriller, Dexter, continues to attract record viewership for the network.

Homeland continued its steady increase in viewership week over week with Sunday’s game-changing answer to the series’ question: Was Sgt. Brody (Damian Lewis) turned against the U.S. while being held captive by Al Qaeda?
The series drew it biggest audience to date with 1.42 million viewers tuning into the 10 p.m. airing with a total of 1.68 million viewers for the night. That’s a 32% increase over the Oct. 2 series premiere. Averaging 4.1 million viewers (including On Demand, replays, and DVR viewership) over four weeks, Homeland is Showtime’s biggest freshman series to date according to the network.

Dexter also shared in the night’s win with 1.99 million viewers at 9PM and 2.61 million viewers total for the night representing a 6 percent increase over last week. Over four weeks (including On Demand, replays, and DVR), the series averages 5.12 million viewers per week.
Viewership for both shows has increased steadily since their season premieres in Early-October.
