Showtime has added a trio of supporting actors to its Liev Schreiber drama pilot Ray Donovan.
Johnathon Schaech, Kerris Dorsey and Ambyr Childers have boarded the drama project from Southland‘s Ann Biderman, the network announced Friday.
In the family drama about a professional “fixer” for the rich and famous in Los Angeles — the title character to be played by Salt‘s Schreiber — Schaech (That Thing You Do) will play Sean Stevens, a major movie star with a mysterious connection to Ray’s past. Dorsey (Brothers & Sisters, Moneyball) will play Ray’d daughter, Bridget, while Childers (All My Children) will play Ashley Rucker, a young star under Ray’s protection.
Biderman will executive produce alongside Mark Gordon and Bryan Zuriff for the Mark Gordon Co. Ray Donovan will begin production in the first quarter in Los Angeles.
The trio join the previously cast Jon Voight as Ray’s father Mickey; Elliott Gould as Ezra, Ray’s mentor and confidante; Eddie Marsan (Sherlock Holmes) and Dash Mihok (I Am Legend) as Ray’s brothers; Paula Malcomson (The Hunger Games, Deadwood) as Ray’s wife Abby; Peter Jacobson (House) as Lee, an L.A. power broker and frequent client of Ray’s;Pooch Hall(The Game) as Daryll, a boxer in training; and Kate Moennig (The L Word) as Lena, Ray’s trusted second in command.
Ray Donovan was one of three new pilots to get the green light under new Showtime entertainment chief David Nevins in August.
Schaech is repped by APA, the Schiff Co. and Hansen Jacobson; Dorsey is with WME and Lewis and Beal Talent; and Childers with WME and McKeon-Myones Management.
