Showtime’s David Nevins, Gary Levine Forced on a Road Trip After Plane Diversion

Life imitated art for Showtime president David Nevins and executive vp programming Gary Levine. Following the network’s TCA panels, the duo was headed to Vancouver for an important table read for the pilot Roadies (about a rock band on tour, starring Luke Wilson, Christina Hendricks and Imogen Poots) from Cameron Crowe, J.J. Abrams and Winnie Holzman.

However, the plane was diverted to Seattle, forcing the execs to hit the road, confirms a Showtime rep. While Nevins and Levine rented a car to make the three-hour trip, Crowe pushed back the table read, and creatives at Warner Bros. and Bad Robot accommodated the delay. As for their audio entertainment, we’re told they passed up rock music in favor of more eclectic college radio.
