A full-length trailer for Starz’ Spartacus: Vengeance was released Friday, and from the looks of it, the show does not disappoint.
Season 2 picks up with Spartacus and his fellow gladiators now out of Capua and engaged in a massive slave rebellion with Roman society. A voice on the trailer says, “You are presented a choice, to submit forever to Roman cruelty” — cut to: a man being whipped — “or to take up arms and join us in freedom.”

The one-minute, 39 second peek goes on to show beheadings, a knife bursting through a man’s neck, whippings, a man thrown off a balcony and horses galloping in slow motion ala 300.
Perhaps even more entertaining than the trailer are comments about it on YouTube such as, “I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO PUMPED BEFORE IN MY LIFE” from SuperSizeLeroyGreene and these words addressing the absence of Andy Whitfield, who left the series because of health reasons, “Hey a**holes Andy Whitfield has cancer. They guy is in pain so? running around pretend killing people wont do him any good.”
