ABC’s Station 19 is keeping Boris Kodjoe around for good.
The Grey’s Anatomy firefighter spinoff has promoted Kodjoe to series regular. The Code Black alum was cast in July and expected to recur on the Shondaland drama.
Kodjoe plays Capt. Robert Sullivan, a firefighter with a mysterious past who returns to the Seattle Fire Department after some time away — with new skills, perspectives and an approach to the job that doesn’t always fall in line with the other members of Station 19.
Kodjoe joins a Station 19 cast that includes Jaina Lee Ortiz, Jason George, Miguel Sandoval, Grey Damon, Jay Hayden, Alberto Frezza, Danielle Savre, Okieriete Onaodowan and Barrett Doss.
Kodjoe’s credits include Fox’s The Last Man on Earth, Undercovers and Soul Food. He’s repped by Gersh and Untitled.
Season two of Station 19 returned Oct. 4 as part of ABC’s TGIT-themed Thursday night block.
