Donald Trump’s first 100 days in office continue to be good for Stephen Colbert’s ratings.
The CBS late night host, who has been covering the new presidency aggressively, has ranked as the most watched late night talk show for the third straight week, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending Feb. 17.
The Late Show averaged 3 million viewers last week, extending its winning margin to 296,000 viewers. It marks the show’s largest margin of victory since Colbert’s premiere week back in September 2015.
Tuesday’s broadcast was its most watched of the week, averaging 3.26 million viewers. With 3.23 million viewers, Friday’s show also exceeded 3 million viewers.
Colbert nearly tied Fallon the week of the inauguration, but it wasn’t until the former Colbert Report host invited Jon Stewart on to skewer Trump’s “Muslim ban” that he beat Fallon, edging past The Tonight Show with 2.77 million viewers.
However, Colbert still remains No. 2 in the key demo of adults 18-49. Fallon topped Colbert with a 0.67 rating over The Late Show‘s 0.54 rating, giving the SNL alum a winning margin of 24 percent.
