Stephen Colbert’s upcoming live 2016 election coverage won’t be limited to his Nov. 8 Showtime special.
Colbert’s Late Show will air live on the nights before and after Election Day, CBS announced on Thursday. These are just the latest live broadcasts for Colbert and Co., who previously went live after two of the three presidential debates and the Oct. 4 vice presidential debate as well as every night of the Republican and Democratic conventions.
It was previously announced that Colbert will host a live, one-hour special on CBS-owned Showtime on Nov. 8 at 11 p.m. E.T./8 p.m. P.T., where he’ll be able to joke about the election free of the censorship he often pokes fun at on CBS.
On Monday, Nov. 7, Colbert will be joined by Don Cheadle, Katherine Waterston and musical guest Drive-By Truckers. On Wednesday, Nov. 9, Colbert’s guests will be Miles Teller, Neil deGrasse Tyson and Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog.
