Stephen Colbert is calling David Geffen out.
On Thursday’s Colbert Report, the talk show host aired footage from an NBC News story about Geffen having constructed four fake garage doors in front of his beachside Malibu home. No cars are actually housed behind the sealed-off “doors.”
There is a public path to the beach along the Pacific Coast Highway-facing side of the home, so the entertainment industry veteran had the doors built to keep beachgoers from parking there, according to The Verge.

The fake garage doors even have curb cutouts in front of them, making them look as though cars can drive in.
The California Coastal Commission did not immediately respond to a request for comment regarding whether Geffen could be ticketed for the doors.
