Patrick McGee is joining the development team at T Group Productions. He has been hired as senior vp development, reporting to Rob Lobl, executive vp development and current.
In his new position, McGee will create and develop original docuseries and adventure programming. He has developed and produced series in challenging and off-the-grid locations, including underwater, deserted islands, volcanoes, jungles and the Arctic Circle. McGee was co-executive producer and showrunner for NatGeo’s Filthy Riches. Previously, he was CEO of Bigfoot Productions before transitioning to head of programming and creative at sister company Fashion One Network.
“Pat brings a great sense of cinematic style to his work and as a seasoned producer and developer his strengths are a perfect fit for crafting our development slate to series,” said Jenny Daly, president of T Group.
The hiring comes at a busy time for T Group, which has produced series like Storage Hunters, Invention USA, Mystery Diners, Container Wars, Private Chefs of Beverly Hills, House of Food, Celebrities Undercover and Museum Men. H2 recently expanded its order for Museum Men and U.K.’s Dave network ordered more episodes of Storage Hunters.
