HBO’s Succession has added a trio of actors to its third season.
Sanaa Lathan, Linda Emond and Jihae will all recur on the Emmy-winning drama, whose third season is in production. The third season of the series will pick up following Kendall Roy’s (Jeremy Strong) ambush of his father, Logan (Brian Cox), which has left the media tycoon in a perilous position. As he tries to secure familial, political, and financial alliances, tensions rise and a bitter corporate battle threatens to turn into a family civil war.
Lathan (Love & Basketball, The Affair) will play Lisa Arthur, a high-profile and well connected lawyer in New York. Emond (Lodge 49, Law & Order: SVU) plays Michelle-Anne Vanderhoven, a White House staffer, and Korean singer and actress Jihae (National Geographic’s Mars, Mortal Engines) plays Berry Schneider, a public relations consultant.
Lathan recently wrapped production on Netflix’s feature Hit and Run. Her credits also include Fox’s Shots Fired, HBO’s Native Son and features Something New, Contagion and The Best Man Holiday. She is repped by CAA and attorney Stephen Barnes at Morris Yorn.
Emond is a three-time Tony Award nominee, most recently for 2014 revival of Cabaret. Her on-screen credits also include Madam Secretary, The Good Fight and Gemini Man. She’s repped by CAA.
In addition to her acting work, Jihae has released several albums and has a large following in her native Korea. She also wrote and produced a multimedia rock opera based on her album Fire Burning Rain. She is repped by Management 360 and Independent Talent Group.
