USA’s rookie law drama Suits has landed two more guest stars for its freshman season.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Lincoln Heights star Russell Hornsby, one of the leads in NBC’s new fall sci-fi series Grimm, will have some unresolved business with Pearson Hardman boss Jessica (Gina Torres).
In the fourth episode, Hornsby will play Quentin Sainz, someone from Jessica’s past whose company’s breakthrough drug for ALS patients may have unexpected deadly side effects. Faced with a lawsuit that may force the life-saving drug to be pulled off the market, he asks Jessica for help, who in turn refers him to her top attorney Harvey (Gabriel Macht). To add insult to injury, Harvey isn’t exactly Quentin’s biggest fan.
Hellcats actress Sharon Leal will appear in the same episode as Lisa Parker, a consultant for a company being sued for falsifying the results of their drug trials to the FDA. Her relationship with the company’s CEO complicates matters for Jessica and hinders her ability to forge a defense.
It was revealed several weeks ago that The Good Wife‘s Titus Welliver was guest starring on Suits, but THR has a few more details on his character.
Welliver will take on a different persona on the USA drama as automotive engineer Dominic Barone. It’s Dominic’s engine design that brings success to McKernon Motors, a client of Harvey’s. Dominic, who has a hard time trusting Manhattan’s top lawyer, is forced to seek his help when a crisis threatens to bring down the company he helped build.
