TBS’ newest sitcom, Sullivan & Son, secured 2.5 million total viewers for its series premiere.
Starring comedian Steve Byrne and from executive producer Vince Vaughn, the sitcom nabbed 1.3 million among the ad-coveted adults 18-49 and 612,000 among the younger 18-34 demographic at 10 p.m.
A second episode followed and attracted 2 million viewers, with 1 million among adults 18-49 and 456,000 among 18-34. For the hour, Sullivan & Son averaged 2.3 million.
Sullivan & Son‘s ratings performance is slightly lower than the launch of Breckin Meyer‘s Men at Work, which averaged 2.5 million viewers back in May.
Sullivan & Son centers on a corporate attorney who finds new life behind the bar when he leaves his Manhattan lifestyle and moves to Pittsburgh to take over his parents’ pub. Dan Lauria, Jodi Long and Christine Ebersole are among the costars. Executive producers include Vaughn, Peter Billingsley and showrunner Rob Long.
Sullivan & Son airs 10 p.m. Thursdays.
