Sundance TV is bringing back Rectify for a third season, which is set to premiere in 2015.
The drama, which was created by Ray McKinnon, centers on Daniel Holden (Aden Young), a man who was released from prison after spending nearly 20 years on death row. After years of confinement, he must learn how to make his way in the outside world. Abigail Spencer, J. Smith Cameron, Luke Kirby, Adelaide Clemens, Clayne Crawford and Jake Austin Walker also star.
“Rectify has evolved into a show much loved by critics and fans. As SundanceTV’s first scripted series, it’s gratifying to see such distinctive and unusual storytelling embraced with such passion,” said Sarah Barnett, Sundance TV President. “Ray McKinnon is a true television auteur, and we can’t wait to see where he takes us next.”
Mark Johnson and Melissa Bernstein are executive producers of the show.
Rectify wraps up season two Aug. 21 at 9 p.m.
