NBC’s telecast of Super Bowl LII briefly went dark on Sunday night.
Viewers experienced several seconds of a black screen during a commercial break.
The Twitter account for NBC Sports PR attributed the darkness to a “brief equipment failure.”
From NBC Sports spokesperson:
“We had a brief equipment failure that we quickly resolved. No game action or commercial time were missed.”

Many viewers hit social media to joke about the incident or express confusion over a possible technological failure in their own homes.
