Despite his professed fondness for New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady, President Donald Trump tweeted a congratulatory message to the Philadelphia Eagles for their 41-33 win in Super Bowl LII at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Sunday night.
“Congratulations to the Philadelphia Eagles on a great Super Bowl victory!” Trump wrote.

The president previously boasted that Brady called him to say he voted for him, and that Belichick wrote him a letter congratulating him and complimenting him for handling “an unbelievable negative and slanted media.”
“By the way, is there a better reference than Tom Brady and Bill Belichick?” Trump asked at a campaign rally in Manchester, New Hampshire, in 2016.
