CBS on Wednesday revealed the 18 castaways who will compete on the 28th season of Survivor, which is themed “Brawn vs. Brains vs. Beauty.”
Among the competitors looking to win the $1 million prize are a former NBA All-Star, a pro poker player, a nuclear engineer, a hairstylist, the president of the Miami Marlins and a former Miss Kentucky Teen USA.

The groupings of these tribes, each comprising six castaways, “reflect the distinguishing qualities that people bring to the game and test whether there is any truth to the preconceived notion that particular characteristics impact certain areas of the game,” according to CBS.
This season — which was filmed in Cagayan, a province in the Philippines — will debut with a two-hour premiere at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26.
