Starz Renews ‘Survivor’s Remorse’ for Season 4

Survivor’s Remorse is staying in the game.

Starz has renewed the basketball comedy for a fourth season, it was announced Wednesday.

The series is currently in the midst of its third season, which debuted in July as part of the pay cabler’s decision to shift its original programming from Saturday to Sunday nights. Viewership for the third season has subsequently jumped 20 percent from season two, and 60 percent from season one. Season three is currently averaging 2.9 million viewers per episode across platforms.

The half-hour comedy stars Jessie T. Usher as Cam Calloway, a hard-working young basketball player who is thrown into the public eye after signing a huge NBA contract in Atlanta. RonReaco Lee, Tichina Arnold, Teyonah Parris and Erica Ash also star. Mike O’Malley serves as showrunner and exec produces with Tom Werner, NBA star LeBron James, Paul Wachter, Victor Levin and Hilton Smith.

Starz’s original comedy slate also includes Blunt Talk and Ash v. Evil Dead. The pay cabler also recently handed out renewals to dramas Outlander and Power for two seasons each.
