That was fast: Terra Nova baddie Christine Adams has found her next gig.
A day after Fox opted not to pick up her time-travel drama for a second season, the actress has been tapped to co-star in ABC’s drama pilot Americana, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The soapy drama revolves around legendary fashion designer Robert Soulter (Without a Trace‘s Anthony LaPaglia) and his family business. Adams will play Sierra, Robert’s ex-supermodel wife.
Adams played Mira, the leader of renegade settlers the Sixers on Terra Nova, which was canceled late Monday.
Adams, repped by Innovative Artists and the Hufflund Co., joins a cast that includes Emilie De Ravin, Twilight‘s Ashley Greene, Natalie Mendoza, Ken Olin and Tiffany Hines in the ABC Studios project.
STORY: Fox Cancels ‘Terra Nova’
North Country’s Michael Seitzman will write the project and executive produce with Mark Gordon, Nick Pepper and Phillip Noyce, who is set to direct the pilot.
After months of indecision surrounding the fate of the dinosaur drama from EP Steven Spielberg, Fox passed on a second season of the big-budget sci-fi series Terra Nova. Studio 20th Television, meanwhile, will shop the show to other networks.
Adams becomes the first Terra Nova cast member to pick up a pilot this development season. Her co-star, Stephen Lang, recently joined USA Network’s In Plain Sight for a three-episode stint.
