Lost alum Terry O’Quinn is officially returning to ABC.
The actor, who most recently toplined the network’s drama pilot The Adversaries, has boarded the season two cast of anthology Secrets and Lies, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Season two of the ABC drama see Juliette Lewis return to reprise her role as Detective Andrea Cornell, who takes on a new case involving Eric Warner (The Following’s Michael Ealy) and the investigation into his wife’s murder.
O’Quinn will portray John Warner, a charming and lovable finance magnate and the adoring father of three children. He built his Charlotte private-equity firm on a model of honesty and morality and has achieved great success. Now, ready to retire, he’s passing the reins on to his heir apparent and eldest son, Eric (Ealy). However, when the party celebrating Eric’s promotion results in the murder of Eric’s wife, Kate, John’s plans are abruptly put on hold, as he attempts to lead his family and his company through this shocking tragedy.
O’Quinn joins a cast that also includes Mekia Cox (Crazy Stupid Love) as Amanda Warner, Eric’s sister and a criminal attorney who rushes to her brother’s side when he’s targeted by Cornell in the investigation into Kate’s death. Lewis is the lone returning member of the season one cast.
For O’Quinn, the role marks his latest at ABC following Lost and the short-lived thriller 666 Park Avenue. His most recent credits include CBS’ Hawaii Five-0, Fox’s Gang Related and the second season of DirecTV’s Full Circle. He’s repped by LBI Entertainment and Jackoway Tyerman.
Secrets and Lies returns midseason on ABC.
