The top of the seven-day ratings charts for Oct. 19-25 are dominated by news and sports programming. As more series roll out on the broadcast networks, however, those shows are starting to populate the list of the largest gains of the week.
The season premiere of The Conners on ABC had the largest delayed viewing boosts in both total viewers (2.08 million) and adults 18-49 (0.46 ratings points), bringing its seven-day totals to 7 million viewers and a 1.36 rating among adults 18-49. Ten of the 15 shows with the biggest 18-49 bumps for week five of the TV season air on broadcast, up from seven the previous week. In total-viewer gains, 13 of the top 15 are network series, as opposed to 10 for the week of Oct. 12.
