Good Friday wasn’t good to Fox’s The Finder.
Bones spinoff The Finder (3.9 million total viewers, 1.1 rating in adults 18-49) debuted in its new Friday home and fell sharply from its last original that aired on Thursdays following a strong lead-in with American Idol. Though it’s comparing apples to oranges, the last The Finder episode on a Thursday night averaged 7.1 million and a 2.3 in early March.
Fringe also also dropped in its ratings after last week’s rise from a series low. The sci-fi drama drew 3.1 million (vs. last week’s 3.1 million) and a 1.0 (vs. last week’s 1.2) at 9 p.m. following The Finder.
CBS’ Undercover Boss (7.7 million, 1.8) was steady from its last original, topping its 8 p.m. time period, while CSI: NY (9 million, 1.6) also remained flat from the previous week. (CSI: NY ended up tying ABC’s What Would You Do? for the 9 p.m. time slot victory in the demo.) Blue Bloods (10.8 million, 1.7), which edged out ABC for the 10 p.m. win, rose.
ABC’s What Would You Do? (4.7 million, 1.6) saw a slight uptick from last week, but newsmagazine 20/20 (5.1 million, 1.5) saw a steep drop (1.5 vs. 2.1).
NBC’s Who Do You Think You Are? (4.5 million, 0.8) was steady from the previous week, while fairy tale procedural Grimm (4.5 million, 1.3) jumped one tenth. Dateline (4.1 million, 1.1) was behind ABC’s 20/20 at 10 p.m.
CBS easily won the night in 18-49 with a 1.7, followed by ABC (1.4), NBC/Fox (1.0) and the CW (0.3), which aired repeats.
