In a two -hour finale, NBC announced The Voice‘s season two winner. America’s votes were counted and the coaches didn’t have a say this time around. The champion would come down to either classically trained Chris Mann, the soulful Jermaine Paul, the bluesy Tony Lucca or the rockin’ Juliet Simms.
During the finale presentation, Justin Bieber, Flo Rida, Hall & Oates and Lady Antebellum performed and the finalists brought back their favorite team alums.
When it was finally time to name the finalist, the singers lined up on the stage to have Carson Daly name them in the order they placed. Fourth place went to Team Christina’s Chris Mann, third would go to Team Adam’s Tony Lucca, second place went to Team Cee Lo’s Juliet Simms. That means the winner is Jermaine Paul.
Paul, 33, experienced the business as a backup singer for Alicia Keys. And while he has been working on solo songs for a while, The Voice has let him finally claim that solo spotlight. As Blake Shelton‘s team member, Paul was able to show a lot of range in his performances over the season and ultimately convinced America that he was one the one to hold this season’s title.
