ABC has ordered a comedy pilot titled Man Up, with former Home Improvement star Tim Allen in negotiations to topline the project. Man Up is from 21 Laps/Adelstein in association with 20th Century Fox Television.
The multicamera comedy is about a guy “fighting for his manhood in a world of women,” according to the logline. Veteran sitcom producer Jack Burditt (30 Rock) is the executive producer/writer along with Marty Adelstein, Shawn Levy and Becky Clements.
The comedy comes to ABC, where Allen’s Home Improvement aired, after a heated bidding war with CBS.
