Fox’s Bones Bids Adieu, 9 p.m., Tuesday
After 12 seasons and just as many time slot changes, the long-running Fox procedural wraps its abbreviated final season. FX’s Marvel Drama Legion Wraps Season 1, 10 p.m., Wednesday
Noah Hawley’s mind-bending take on Marvel’s X-Men universe closes its first chapter Wednesday. Already renewed for a second season, the FX drama has “redefined not only how to depict mental illness but — wait for it — how to do a Marvel show for thinking adults” in just eight episodes, writes Tim Goodman. Ellen Pompeo Takes on New Role on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, 8 p.m., Thursday
In a first, leading lady Pompeo will pull double duty and step behind the camera of the Shondaland medical drama. The episode, which is poised to be an emotional one for co-star Kelly McCreary, marks Pompeo’s directorial debut. Netflix Dives Into YA With 13 Reasons Why, 12:01 a.m., Friday
The streaming giant is hoping this adaptation of Jay Asher’s best-selling young adult novel will be viewers’ next big binge-watch. Centered on a teenage girl’s suicide and the clues she leaves behind about why she took her own life, the drama hails from an eclectic group of exec producers including Oscar winner Tom McCarthy, Tony winner Brian Yorkey (Next to Normal) and Selena Gomez. AMC’s The Walking Dead Closes Out Season 7, 9 p.m., Sunday
The zombie drama based on Robert Kirkman’s comic book series of the same name ends its seventh season with what promises to be a deadly episode as the fight against dastardly yet charismatic villain Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) begins.
