Charlaine Harris, who wrote the book series that inspired HBO’s True Blood, has another TV deal cooking.

A Syfy spokesperson confirms to The Hollywood Reporter that the cable network snagged the television rights to Harris’ book series, The Harper Connelly Mysteries.
First reported by EW and intended to be part of Syfy’s upfronts announcement later on Tuesday, the network will develop the drama series under the title of its first novel, “Grave Sight.”
The books follow Harper Connelly, who has the ability to sense the location and last memories of dead people. Along with her stepbrother, Tolliver, she tries to find a missing girl from a small town in the Ozark Mountains. But she soon discovers that the incident and conspiracies around it go much deeper.
Kam Miller (Law & Order: SVU, Killer Instinct) is writing the pilot with producer Universal Cable Productions.
