My Thai Life, a new one-hour scripted drama set in Thailand, has begun casting its international set of characters, and is positioning itself for both local and international distribution — still a relative rarity in the mostly domestic-minded Thai TV market.
Developed by Travis Romero (White Collar) and Emmy Wu for leading Thai pay TV operator, True Vision and Dale Godboldo Enterprises, the show tells the story of a international film crew working in Thailand to make a Vietnam War era movie. It will be set across Thailand, but filmed in English for an international audience.

The ensemble cast so far includes Dale Godboldo (Thor, Bones), Nicholle Tom (The Nanny, The Mentalist), Chris Meyer (Sex and the City, Law and Order SVU, CSI Miami), Denny Kirkwood (Cougar Town), Jennifer Field (Entourage) and Matthew Ziff (Six Gun Savior, Hard Flip), as well Thai actors Benjasiri Wattana, Sirichay Pliendok and Phil Blaze.
“I was thrilled to find True Visions on board to partner on a show with a young and sexy international cast that would also promote Thailand and Thai culture in a positive light,” said Romero in a statement. “We’re excited to see True Visions’ leading subscriber base in Thailand paired with a comprehensive global syndication strategy managed by Emmy and Dale.”
The producers say they intend to target a mix of traditional and digital syndication strategies for international sales and distribution.
