Another long-running TV Land comedy is coming to a close.
In the wake of Hot in Cleveland‘s June series finale and the upcoming fifth and final season of The Soul Man, The Exes will say goodbye next month after four seasons, star Kristen Johnston revealed Monday.
The star broke the news in a tweet.
Well, it’s official: LAST 6 eps of @The_Exes EVER start airing this Weds. Even great ratings can’t #SaveGoodTV.

She later added, “Honestly, we all knew it was a probability. The last 6 are the best yet.” The series finale will air Sept. 16. TV Land later confirmed the news.
Johnston headlined the comedy, about three divorced men living in an NYC apartment owned by their divorce attorney, with Donald Faison, Wayne Knight and David Alan Basche.
The Exes hails from Mark Reisman Productions and Acme Productions and is exec produced by Mark Reisman, Franco E. Bario, Michael Hanel, Mindy Schultheis, Larry W. Jones and Keith Cox.
The cancelation of The Exes and the upcoming last season of The Soul Man brings TV Land’s total multicams to zero.
The cable network has recently its focus to a younger audience with single-camera fare including Younger, Teachers, Impastor, The Jim Gaffigan Show and more. TV Land recently picked up single-cam pilot I Shudder starring Hamish Linklater and also is developing a half-hour inspired by the life of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills‘ Kyle Richards, with John Wells attached, and a Groundlings comedy from Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone.
Other canceled comedies at TV Land include Happily Divorced, Kirstie and Jennifer Falls.
The Exes airs Wednesdays at 11 p.m. on TV Land.
