ABC popped up on Sunday thanks to the two-hour news doc special The Last 100 Days of Diana. Though it did not outrank the night’s top players, it propelled the network’s typical Sunday average to tie NBC for the night among adults 18-49.
The Last 100 Days of Diana averaged a 0.9 rating among adults 18-49 and 6.4 million viewers, a vast improvement from the network’s recent offerings at 9 and 10 o’clock. It also perked up significantly from lead-in Once Upon a Time (0.8 adults; 2.8 million viewers). America’s Funniest Home Videos was again ABC’s top Sunday player with an average 1.0 rating.
Over on NBC, Little Big Shots retained its status as Sunday’s No. 1 show — but its average 1.2 rating among adults 18-49 and 7.8 million viewers ranked as a season low. Chicago Justice (1.0 adults) and Shades of Blue (0.7 adults) held steady.
CBS was also steady with new outings of 60 Minutes (0.9 adults), NCIS: Los Angeles (1.0 adults), Madam Secretary (0.9 adults) and Elementary (0.6 adults).
A one-hour season finale of The Last Man on Earth averaged a steady 0.7 rating among adults 18-49 on Fox. That was after a lifted episode of Bob’s Burgers (0.9 adults) and flat outings of The Simpsons (1.0 adults) and Making History (0.6 adults).
All broadcast networks faced stiff competition from TNT’s ongoing coverage of the NBA playoffs.
