Agent Carter did not pick up any steam between its first and second seasons. The ABC drama returned Tuesday night to series lows in live-plus-same-day scores, averaging a 1.0 rating among adults 18-49 in the first of back-to-back episodes and slipping to a 0.9 in the demo the following hour.
The series, which increased an alright 60 percent in live-plus-seven ratings during its freshman year, also hit a low among total viewers: 3 million. Agent Carter, the network’s second play for a Marvel TV franchise, debuted last January to a 1.9 rating with adults 18-49. (Based on Tuesday, there might be more interest in another comic book entry. The CW aired a special in anticipation of Legends of Tomorrow, and it averaged a 0.9 rating in the key demo.)
CBS easily topped the night, thanks to NCIS. The drama, off three-tenths of a point from its last original, still took in a robust 2.4 rating among adults 18-49. NCIS: New Orleans spilled from its season high, averaging a 1.8 in the key demo before a new Limitless (1.2 adults).
Hollywood Game Night (1.2 adults) held steady on NBC, while Chicago Med (1.6 adults) dropped ahead of a steady Chicago Fire (1.7 adults). Fox comedies New Girl (1.3 adults), Grandfathered (0.9 adults), Brooklyn Nine-Nine (1.1 adults) and The Grinder (0.8 adults) were steady.
