In its second two-hour episode of the season, American Idol saw its first drop — falling four-tenths of a point to a 2.6 rating among adults 18-49 and 10.4 million viewers. Overall, that still made it the highest-rated broadcast show of the evening, though the competition wasn’t exactly stiff.

CBS’ lineup was all new save for The Big Bang Theory. Mom (2.4 adults) led the pack, off three-tenths of a point from last week’s series high, while Two and a Half Men (2.1 adults), The McCarthys (1.5 adults) and Elementary (1.3 adults) each fell two-tenths of a point from last week.
The Biggest Loser (1.1 adults) fell two-tenths of a point on NBC, as did Parenthood (1.2 adults) on either side of increasingly fatigued episodes of A to Z and Bad Judge.
ABC offered an even episode of The Taste, while The CW aired its first World Dog Awards. That was on par with its airing of the Critics’ Choice Awards last summer, pulling a 0.4 with adults 18-49.
