With Sunday seeming to suffer from Daylight Savings, Monday brought similar drops — especially for a still dominant NBC.
The network, which brought in a 4.2 rating among adults 18-49 and 11.9 million viewers, saw a 18 percent drop for The Voice. Fast affiliate ratings give the competition a 5.1 rating in adults 18-49 (compared to last Monday’s 6.2) for a season low. Smash was also down, though the modest 11 percent drop still secured its second highest rating since the series premiere, a 2.4 in adults.
Perhaps ABC is to blame. The two-hour season finale of The Bachelor and the recap finale, After the Final Rose, brought in a 3.0 rating in adults 18-49 and 9.3 million viewers. The lowest finale in franchise history, The Bachelor was still up 16 percent over last week for a 2.9. The Final Rose was down 30 percent from last year but pulled a 3.3 in the demo — making it the night’s second strongest showing to The Voice.
CBS, in its second week of Monday repeats, averaged a 1.9 in adults 18-49 and 7.1 million viewers.
Alcatraz was the only new offering on Fox. The freshman drama dropped 11 percent for a series low of 1.6 in adults 18-49 after a repeat of House. The net averaged a 1.4 in the demo and 4.3 million.
Repeats of America’s Next Top Model and Hart of Dixie gave The CW 0.2 in the demo and 700,000 viewers.
